Essential Functions:
· 3+ years hands-on DevOps; designing/writing/delivering system automation.
· Understands fundamentals of large scale on-premise and cloud mission critical systems; networking, security, redundancy, scalability, monitoring, & performance KPI’s.
· Fast, adaptable, with a proven ability to integrate and exploit new technologies, PAAS offerings, and API’s.
· Demonstrated ability to move on-premise complex systems to the cloud.
Core Requirements:
· Working experience of AWS architecture and operations, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Cloud Formation.
· Good knowledge of API Gateways, Kinesis, Lambda, ECS and Elastic beanstalk.
· Knowledge and experience configuring Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) and Security groups (SG).
· Experience working in AWS via the CLI and management console.
· Configuring auto-scaling and load balancing in AWS.
· Utilize the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) features for provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and distribution of compute infrastructure.
· Use Amazon Cloud Watch to establish metrics and monitor the health/utilization of the AWS resource.
· Utilize AWS Cloud Formation to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment to reduce time to production.
· Leverage resource tagging to allocate costs and optimize resource planning for budgeting, reporting, and governance.
· Manage and administer company AWS infrastructure and environments (Production, Staging, Development and QA).
· Support and enhance the Jenkins/GoCD CI/CD infrastructure.
· Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical staff and management.
· Understanding of general security architecture and design.
· Understanding of source control and change management.
