How do I become a contributor

Hi, in my project we are using generic dao extensively.

However, I bumped into a serious performance issue that is caused by bug 56. (https://code.google.com/p/hibernate-generic-dao/issues/detail?id=56&q=fetch)

If I understand correctly, the project is no longer actively supported. We are willing to contribute and fix the issues we encounter. Can I get write access to svn?

Hi Tom,

Yeah. I don't support it much or at all anymore. Fact is I haven't had occasion to even use it in years. I added you as a committer. You can develop to branches or to trunk. In the past, I've pretty much always just worked on trunk when working on stuff that I intend to be in the next release. If you get to the point where you would recommend creating a public release, let me know and I'll try to carve out time to make it happen.

I'm glad you find the project helpful. Hopefully you can make some worthwhile contributions for others.

Hi David,

Seems like Tom have not been able to submit the changes commented above. We are also using generic dao extensively, and would like to get this issue fixed.  Can I get write access to svn?

I was asking for myself and the project I am working on, because I need to check it that fix improves performance.(I know I can check it locally, but other people have already done that)

I have been looking into some of the other issues, and I can try to fix those that have a easy patch/solution. Is that ok?

Are the tests complete enough to check if I have introduced new bugs?

I would made independent commits for each bug, and then we or I can do a 1.2.1 release?

That would be great. The test are complete, just be sure you're adding new ones for the issues you're fixing.

For the moment, I have just tried to clean/organise the list of bugs, to close those that are not relevant.

I have asked people that reported an issue to give more information about the solution provided, but no response.

So I guess you can have a look at the list of Issues, and see which ones you think we can work on. So far I am:
