About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong security and cryptography expertise to design and build next-generation cryptographic intelligence and risk assessment platforms.

In this role, you will be responsible for engineering secure, scalable backend systems and sensor architectures that operate across enterprise environments, integrating with leading security platforms and cloud ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
Backend Engineering & Platform Development
Design and develop high-performance backend services and APIs for:
Cryptographic asset discovery
Cryptographic inventory and metadata normalization
Risk assessment and prioritization workflows
Build secure, scalable microservices architectures using modern backend technologies
Develop gRPC and REST-based APIs for distributed systems
Security & Cryptography Engineering
Architect and implement systems leveraging:
TLS/SSL protocols
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
Certificate lifecycle and key management
Ensure secure communication, encryption, and authentication across services
Apply security-first (left-shift) development practices
Sensor & Agent Development
Design and implement lightweight cryptographic sensors/agents that:
Deploy via enterprise endpoint platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, Tanium)
Run as standalone containerized services within customer environments
Optimize for performance, security, and low system overhead
Data Engineering & Pipelines
Build scalable data ingestion pipelines for cryptographic and workload metadata
Design and maintain SQL and graph-based data models
Enable real-time analytics and risk scoring capabilities
Cloud & DevOps
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools
Deploy and manage services using:
Docker & Kubernetes
Cloud platforms (preferably Azure)
Implement automated testing, monitoring, and secure deployment practices
Integration & Ecosystem
Integrate with enterprise security and IT tools such as:
CrowdStrike, Tanium, Tenable, ServiceNow
Work with external APIs and SDKs for seamless interoperability
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in backend software engineering (enterprise-scale systems)
Strong programming expertise in:
Python
Golang
Node.js
Experience building secure microservices using gRPC and REST APIs
Hands-on experience with:
Docker & Kubernetes
CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions or similar)
Experience integrating with external APIs and SDKs
Solid understanding of secure system design and distributed architectures
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with security-focused development and secure coding practices
Strong knowledge of:
TLS/SSL
PKI and certificate lifecycle management
Cryptographic protocols
Experience with Azure cloud services
Familiarity with enterprise security tools:
Tanium, Tenable, CrowdStrike, ServiceNow
Experience building:
Risk scoring engines
Security analytics platforms
Exposure to Generative AI / AI-driven security use cases
Nice to Have
Experience with graph databases (Neo4j, etc.)
Background in endpoint security, EDR, or vulnerability management platforms
Knowledge of zero-trust architecture principles
