Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal technical role in a 2-year enterprise DevSecOps platform implementation for a regulated banking institution. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer with deep expertise across CI/CD pipelines, containerization, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and security automation. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and operationalizing the bank’s next-generation DevSecOps platform, ensuring it meets the highest standards of security, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps & GitHub Actions, supporting multi-environment deployments with automated quality gates
  • Technical execution of the Azure DevOps (ADO) to GitHub Enterprise (GHE) migration, including repository migration, pipeline conversion, secrets migration, and webhook reconfiguration
  • Implement and configure GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS) features including code scanning, secret scanning, Dependabot, and custom security policies
  • Plan and deploy containerized application architectures using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), and Helm charts with production-grade configurations
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible for provisioning, configuration management, and environment orchestration
  • Implement enterprise observability solutions including centralized logging, metrics collection, distributed tracing, and alerting using tools like Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack
  • Integrate security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning) into CI/CD pipelines to enforce shift-left security practices
  • Design and implement policy-as-code frameworks using OPA/Rego, Sentinel, or Kyverno for automated compliance enforcement
  • Collaborate with the test automation team to integrate automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, API testing) into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Build and maintain self-service platform capabilities, reusable pipeline templates, and golden path configurations for development teams
  • Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux for declarative, version-controlled infrastructure and application deployments
  • Ensure all platform components meet banking regulatory requirements (SOX, PCI-DSS, FFIEC) and pass internal/external audit assessments
  • Author and maintain technical documentation including architecture decision records (ADRs), runbooks, and operational procedures
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote DevSecOps best practices across the organization

Technical Skills & Expertise

  • Proficiency with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS)
  • Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS), Docker, Helm, and container security best practices
  • Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (preferred), Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
  • Strong experience building complex CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, security scanning, and multi-environment deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling)
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP also acceptable) including VPC design, IAM, KMS, and managed services
  • Experience implementing enterprise observability with Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana/Prometheus, or ELK Stack
  • Hands-on experience with security tools: SonarQube, Checkmarx, Snyk, Trivy, Aqua Security, HashiCorp Vault, or similar
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, Go, or PowerShell
  • Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux) and service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
  • Working knowledge of policy-as-code tools (OPA/Rego, Kyverno, Sentinel)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles, with at least 4 years in senior-level positions
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in regulated banking, financial services, or similarly governed industries
  • Demonstrated experience with large-scale platform migrations and enterprise DevSecOps implementations
  • Strong understanding of networking, Linux systems, and distributed systems architecture

Certifications (Good to have)

  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Associate
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
  • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate or higher
  • GitHub Certifications (Actions, Admin, Advanced Security)
  • Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional

Thank You
