Position overview
Under general direction, applies specialized knowledge in systems automation discipline to analyze, code, test, implement and optimize the current mainframe automation CA-OPSMVS code that supports the HP client infrastructure. Collaborates with the HP automation team to meet the overall objection of the mainframe automation code review project.
Minimum Required: Successfully demonstrated strong knowledge of:
· CA-OPSMVS functionality
· REXX
· Understands basic JCL
· Familiarity with mainframe software such as MVS, JES2, CICS, IMS, VTAM
Skills detail and proficiency level
CA-OPSMVS: Proficient
MVS O/S: Knowledgeable
Troubleshooting Skills: Proficient
Scripting: Proficient
Rexx: Proficient
Analyze, document, control and support changes to the automation tool (CA-OPSMVS) on the monitored mainframes. Configuration includes the customization of automation scripts.
The deliverables includes:
· Customize code as required on implemented tools
· Standardize where possible and permitted by contract
The deliverables excludes:
Generating regular reports of mainframe automation data for client use.
Automation Services:
The implementation and customization of standard and non-standard tools and processes.
The deliverables of the team includes:
· Validate tools are functioning
· Provide documentation as required by the HP team regarding the automation code review project
