Location: Glenn Burnie MD

Duration: 6 months

 

Position Summary:

Reports to the Director of Decision Support Services and has management responsibility for the work activities of a group of Health Data analysts/programmers, business analysts and other support staff.

Provides business analysis and requirements definitions to senior management.

 

COMPETENCIES:

Work requires extensive knowledge in planning, monitoring, measuring and reporting on Data analysis and delivery projects.

Knowledge of managed care operations and medical coding (CPT, ICD9, DME, HCPCS)

Demonstrated ability to define data analysis requirements and propose formats and strategies for answering business questions.

Experience with relational database, SQL and reporting software.

Experience with data mining tools and software. 

Experience with SQL, Visual Basic, MS Office and Report Writer experience.

 

Requirements 

Requires strong analytical and computational skills.  

Ability to guide customers in developing appropriate requirements definitions to answer business/management questions. 

Advise analysts on development and delivery strategies.                             

Prioritizes and organizes work for staff to meet changing priorities.

Develops and recommends relevant policies and procedures.

Formulates business problem solutions via technology and/or business process change.

Facilitates customer system issue resolution by clarifying the issue and allocating appropriate resources to effectively and efficiently bring the issue to closure.  Participates In setting and enforcing departmental standards for analysis, development and quality assurance.
