2 questions about final project......

Hi ,
As the first question which one is better in you opinion?(If you want
to write a server client application for your Final Project)
1.To write a servlet , I mean an application which works with an HTML
page (The GUI is being seen in a browser)
2 .Or to write two applications : one is the server side and one is
the client side which has a GUI and is being used
by users.

and the second one :
I want to test a server and client application , what should I do? I
mean I want a server to run the server side part on ,
I thaught maybe I could use CE server , could I ? Do I have access to
run something on CE server?

I don't think it is necessary to run the two parts on different machines.
The server could be listening to your request on a custom port, say 8080,
and could be run on your local computer. All you have to do is doing the
"listening" part.
But I think it's not my place to be answering questions! Sorry for butting
in!
