Capturing OS's audio out line

I'm looking for a way to read audio data going out of macOS's audio device and was wondering whether it would be possible to do it with JAudioLibs? As far as I'm aware it's not possible do achieve it using Java Sound API so I'm looking for an alternative solution.

The JAudioLibs code currently wraps JavaSound and JACK, so if the
former won't help then it's down to the latter. I know there are some
issues around JACK on OSX at the moment, but also know of a project
looking to do something similar. JNAJack is just a wrapper around
JACK, so if you want to try that route, you'd be better following up
on their mailing list / website - http://jackaudio.org/
