I'm looking at Infobox templates for displaying header information in the wiki article.  There is no template in Wikipedia that fits our needs, so I will develop my own[1].

But I need to know whether the tidy extension will be installed, so I know which Template to base our infobox template from:
"Porting to other MediaWikis

The infobox template requires the tidy extension to be installed, and may not work with other MediaWikis. TheWikipedia:WikiProject Transwiki has a version of Infobox that has been modified to work on other MediaWikis."[2]

Not sure what you mean by "displaying header information" - can you
give an example of the kind of information you are referring to here?

The most likely target for upload of articles from PubMed Central is
not the English Wikipedia but Wikisource (either in its English or
global variant), so Infobox templates are best avoided - especially
since Wikidata (in combination with Lua) is about to radically change
the way infoboxes operate - and we shouldn't count on the tidy
extension being installed. As it happens, it does not seem to be
currently installed on the English Wikipedia either:

I mean the contents of the JATS/NLM <front> (I slipped into TEI-speak for a moment ;)

It looks like I should encode that info in this template:
