Hi group,

I am CC'ing Terry Catapano on this email.  Terry, this email list is
for a new project, the JATS-to-Mediawiki converter
(https://github.com/konrad/JATS-to-Mediawiki), in support of Daniel
Mietchen's idea for an Encyclopedia of Original Research
(http://www.science3point0.com/evomri/2011/05/07/drafting-proposals-in-the-open-sharpening-the-ideas/).
Daniel is a coauthor on the Zookeys paper, 10.3897/zookeys.90.1369,
"Interlinking journal and wiki publications through joint citation:
Working examples from ZooKeys and Plazi on Species-ID".  So perhaps
you guys have already met.

Daniel, Terry was heavily involved in the development of the TaxPub
DTDs, see here:  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK47081/.

I started thinking about this project and realized that the
Pensoft/TaxPub/Species-ID guys must have developed something very
similar for that workflow.  I went back and checked that Zookeys
paper, and see that they reference a tool called the Pensoft Wiki
Converter (PWC).  (As an aside, I had expected Terry to be a coauthor
on that Zookeys paper -- imagine my surprise when it turned out that
Daniel was, instead!)

So, the question is, is this PWC available?  Can we grab it and use it
for this project, and/or perhaps just merge the two?  Are there any
developers of the PWC who might be interested in helping?

Thanks!
Chris Maloney
