Hello All,

I am testing the waters....  Who would like to have a weekly hangout session for Q/A with me and some other people.  I can help answer your common questions; and we can help get your Jasper setup working.

Keep in mind, I will need responses before I schedule it.  I am a super busy guy (not that I am the only one joining), feel free to run it without me if you like the idea.

For now, I have created a semi-permanent hangout link.  I will get a nice url for it soon so its not hard to remember.

If interested, please respond to this thread.

Sincerely,
Matthew Curry

Alright,

I have not seen any interest, so I will be removing this soon.  I will give it another day or so, if nothing is heard it will be removed.

I think it is a great idea and would love to see the recordings on YouTube of the Hangouts. Though based on the current state of the forums, I think it will primarily be telling people not to implement desktops and run Jasper from the command line.

If you would be willing to start a YouTube channel on Jasper though, I could completely see a beneficial Q/A session developing from it once the level of end user knowledge is increased through the show. I can see it being a huge undertaking though, so will understand if you don't have the time at the moment. I'd offer to help, but I know zero, zip, nada at the moment and have yet to try a Jasper install.

Thats exactly what the hangout is.  A q/a session. I am not using youtube.  Its not a good medium for conversation.

Not IRC?  Or is there already an IRC channel? A bit less formal that way.

Sorry for the confusion, I was assuming you would be recording the Hangouts, which could then be posted to YouTube. You are right that YouTube itself is much more of a you talk / we listen format.

You guys can chat where ever.  This is in regards to a Google Hangout.  So we will have audio/video so people can share live what they are experiencing.

Yep I am interested.  I have been trying to get Jasper up and running.  I couldn't get it working on Pi2, so I bought an old Pi, and I will try on it.

I am in Mountain Time (Denver, CO), but I am open to most times.  We would all have to agree on it.

How do we go about that? I'm on slack, but adding jasper.slack.com says I'm not a member of that team and to sign on with a password. Is there a link to send a request to join?

Hi,
I am interested in Jasper. Is it still a current project??

If so can you please send an invite?

The official Jasper project is not longer being maintained by the original developers but I am working on migrating Jasper to Python3 with a working pre-built ISO and a step-by-step guide that walks through a fully-working offline install. Feel free to visit GitHub and if you'd like to contribute, you're more than welcome!
