Yes Pocketspinx and Julius are not that correct solution you are looking for. I'm working on Custom Offline Detection Engine to integrate with Jasper you can Find out more about project.  --> https://snowboy.kitt.ai/

Hello,
this is an interesting project you got there, but it sucks for raspberries right now (if I am doing it right):

You need to make 3 .wav's with your raspberry, download them to your computer, upload them and if you are ready creating a pmdl, you have to download it with your computer and put it to your raspberry and all these just for one pmdl
(or you can install a very slow remote desktop with a fake firefox which barely recognizes your mic somehow)

Is there any better way? And if I am doing these, could I use it with jasper or is it standalone?

it works great for raspberries if you use it as designed.  Its not an STT enginer like the others.  Its a keyword/wake engine specifically.

The answer right now (which you probably wont like), is that there aren't any really good offline ones at the moment.  I am working with OpenSTT to try to eventually get that going.

However, that is the point of our community tts server (its private and only accessible by me, and it doesn't keep logs.  I also am going to added voice/languages to it when I get some time.

Please join us in slack for better discussion.

Is the community tts server really there? How can I access it?
