Problem with Manual install on RPi (ALSA Config)

Hi!

I tried manually installing jasper on my raspberry. I seem to have some problems with ALSA..

arecord does not (always) quite work: 

pi@raspberrypi ~ $ arecord test.wav

it sometimes gives this device busy error and I have to specify which format... but in the manual install guide there was no specification of the format... 

also if I use aplay now (after recording a file)

pi@raspberrypi ~ $ aplay test.wav
aplay: main:682: audio open error: No such file or directory

this is the output.. i believe something is not right with the audiocard setup... I changed the config file as said in the install manual, so that the usb soundcard would appear on top, and not the internal soundcard (the usb souncard being my usb mic). It appears to me, that aplay is trying to output the audio through the usb mic, which obviously can't work.. but if I change it back I don't have a audio in...

so how can I set my usb mic only for input and my internal soundcard only for output?
