What does the "score"-variable mean in mic.py

Hello Community,

first of all GREAT WORK! You do a really nice Job.

Since I try to understand what JASPER does I went through some codes step by step and now I'm wondering what the score-value means, which is calculated by the "rms / 3" in mic.py (ln. 42 - 45).
I hope somebody can give me a hint.

Score is loudness of the recorded sound. Active listen takes a 1 second sample to determine 'background noise' then goes beep to record your voice. when the sound level drops back to the background noise level it interprets this as meaning you have stopped talking.

Alright, so it just means some kind of volume (in an arbitrary unit)...
