Using jasper with a Playstation Eye

Hello

I tried installing jasper on my Raspberry Pi 3 Model B and faced a problem, which I don't know how to solve. 

My problem is that I want to use a Playstation Eye as microphone for the project. However it is not working and the sound card refuses to record audio from the microphone. I searched a lot on the internet and found out that this might be because of alsa. They say alsa has problems with the 4 microphones build into the playstation eye. An easy solution would be to purchase a new microphone but I don't want to do that because I actually bought the Playstation Eye just for jasper.

If anybody can give me detailed instructions on how to solve the problem please  do so.
