I downloaded the JASPAR 2024 coordinates of TFBSs for some motifs from the link below:
However, the numbers of nucleotides spanned from the start to the end coordinates are always one bp more than the length of the motif. For example, the motif MA0493.3 has one TFBS from 88674107 to 88674115 on the '+' strand of chr5. This set of coordinates spans 9 bps while the website shows the motif is only 8 nucleotides long. I found this is the case for almost all the coordinates for all the motifs that I have checked so far. I also found same thing from the 2026 version. So I wonder which is exactly the first position of the motif TFBS. Is it 88674107 or 88674108.
