Issue with Installing JASPAR2022 Package

Hi there,

I am writing to seek assistance regarding an issue I encountered while attempting to install the JASPAR2022 package using the command BiocManager::install("JASPAR2022").

The error message I received is as follows:

Warning: download failed
  web resource path: ‘https://jaspar.genereg.net/download/database/JASPAR2022.sqlite’
  local file path: ‘/.cache/R/BiocFileCache/138cfe7ee6fd2f_JASPAR2022.sqlite’
  reason: Not Found (HTTP 404).

Is there an alternative resource or method to obtain the required file? Thank you.

Thanks for the notification. This is due to the fact that JASPAR is now hosted by ELIXIR. We recommend using the JASPAR 2024 R package.
