Hi,

I just wanted to know what the scores on the table represent and what would be considered a good score.

Thank you

Hi Samirah,

Relative scores are obtained by normalizing the Scores (e.g. 11.3291 or 9.8874) between 0 and 1, wherein 0 and 1 are the minimum and maximum Scores, respectively, that can be reached for a given sequence.

By default, JASPAR uses a Relative score threshold equal to 0.8. This is, a sequence whose Score is 80% or higher than the maximum score is considered as good.

Alternatively, UniBind (https://unibind.uio.no/) has developed a self-adaptive threshold which is typically around ~85%.
