Hi there,

Hope this email finds you well!

I am Shang Su from University of Toledo studying the function of TF NR2F1 (aka COU-TFI).
While I searched JASPAR for the consensus binding element of this NR2F1, I got a bit confused about the different versions of JASPAR IDs.

For example,  I can see MA0017.1 is different from MA0017.2 and MA0017.3. Does that mean JASPAR suggests higher confidence in the newest version? I do understand that NR2F1 functions as dimers, so there could be half and full consensus sites.

Also, is there any possible link on JASPAR to explore if the TFBS for this NR2F1 is shared by other TFs?

Thanks in advance!

Best,
Shang

Dear Shang.

Thanks for your inquiry. We recommend users to use the newest version of each profile as they are the most up-to-date. As for the similarity between profiles, we recommend you look at the matrix clusters (https://jaspar.elixir.no/matrix-clusters/).
