Familial binding profiles - download

Thanks for providing this great resource.

I am interested in using the familial profiles that are mentioned here. I was wondering, if there is a file available for download, that contains all of those profiles together. I extensively looked through the website, but could not find this. I only found the already predicted familial binding sites in the download area.

Dear Stephan,

Thanks for your interest in JASPAR and for raising this question. Unfortunately, the algorithm we used to construct the familial profiles generates the images as output but not the profiles themselves. We did not modify the code to get these as we believe (and it has been shown) that using the familial profiles for binding predictions is not ideal and should be avoided; one should rather use the original motifs and combine them using the familial clustering. We might revisit this and provide the profiles in the future, though.
