Melatar is now looking for her third owner. I have enjoyed her since 2003 when I purchased her on Orcas Island, WA

Hello out there.  I figure that this is a nice place to let people know Melatar is seeking her next owner.  I have enjoyed this forum over the years and a few of you have helped me improve Melatar through this forum. It turns out, my weather helm issues were due to lack of sail combination knowledge.  Now she balances beautifully using a yankee and stay sail up wind in 15+ winds.  I also learned how to use the assymentrical in lighter winds which lets her scoot along nicely. While Melatar was being layed up at Miller Marine Ted Brewer suggested that the masts should be 18" fwd of the original plan.   This makes her unique because she has an extra set of chainplates (the original aft placement) which I use for the preventers now, originally set up for running backstays for the staysail stay.  She was of the first to have the mast moved forward.  Please feel free to ask me any questions and if you want to see more of her we put a website together  :  https://sites.google.com/view/melatar/home
Thank you for keeping this site going.  Christine

Hello Mike,

I am not very savvy with linking.  I clicked on the blue highlighted link and it sent me to the website.  Maybe try typing in Melatar or Melatar Jason 35 in a google search.  Our website comes up first on the list using my computer.  Also she is on Yacht World -- try Jason 35.

Thank you for letting me know that it did not work for you.  Please let me know if these other avenues work.

Cheers,
Christine
