Resealing Jason 35 Bronze Port lites

Has anyone got advise on resealing a leaky port light on your Jason 35?

I assume most Jason 35 bronze port lites eventually leak.  My efforts using marine silicon have lasted a few years, But, the aft port and starboard have started leaking again.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

My boat, Norwegian Steam, also had a leaky portlight problem. I found a good solution for this several years ago. My portlights were made by Perko and I think that most of the Jasons have  the same, because Earl Miller bought them in bulk and passed on some of the savings to the owners. In 2012 I purchased product 990063 from Defender.com, described as PKO Portlight Weatherstrip. I notice that they still sell the same product. It comes in 10' lengths. By the way, I am guessing it is time for me to buy another 10' from Defender. Thanks for the reminder.
