Hi guys,

Thank you for your time!

Many different types of applications recommend that you set up a Twilio or Nexmo account and pay for text messages.

I find it silly that you have to pay for text messages when I think you could probably pay for server costs and software to be able to send and receive as many text messages as you want for free.

Am I thinking right and is Jasmin something that can do this?

Thank you very much!

James

In many coutries, you still need to pay for texting, so Twilio, Nexmo are providing you gateway to text all over the world.

Even if you have a free texting plan in your country, i can tell you it is limited to some quota (there's no "unlimited" thing in telecoms), and it's not free to text to international destinations, or maybe limited to quotas, moreover, you can't do bulks.

Jasmin is the software to use for sendouts, we also provide same services as Twilio and Nexmo (that's called sms hubbing), the difference between Twilio/Nexmo and Jasmin is that we run our business on open source software.
