TNEB reading

Sir/Madam
TNEB reading was taken ten days before and it was posted for payment only now.
There has been a delay of more than seven days
In my case consumption has been stated as zero units and billed as Rupees
Twenty.
If the meter is not working TNEB has to demand average consumption charges.
This has been the practice so far and I have paid maximum amount continuously for several months since in TNEB'S opinion my meter was faulty. The meter was changed and in my opinion consumption recorded was on the higher side, but I
Did not complain
Now for the current month I have paid what has demanded, and I am afraid that
I may have to pay a higher amount in next reading if reading has not been taken
TNEB would be right, but in my case it would warrant a heavy out flow of cash
What could be done? Please enlighten

Sir, You may consider paying an advance of what you consider to be your approximate bill amount. I have been regularly paying advance every month. It gets adjusted in the next bill. In any case, you are supposed to bring this to the notice of AE at Gowrivakkam - situated in the same complex as the Water Tank - near Ration Store.

Yes I accept what you say.  I shall meet AE TNEB and explain to him as well pay in advance approximately a sum equivalent of three month consumption charges to be safe
