As the title suggests my mouse 4 and 5 are not registering in game. On top of this issue when I alt+tab i can't click on anything with my mouse. no windows or the start bar, nothing. As soon as I close the game the mouse works just fine, So SOMETHING in the game is preventing me from using all the buttons on the mouse and takes the ability to use my mouse away when not focused on the game.

this seems to happen only after joining a game, I just tested it in a custom game and it did the same thing. Menu screens worked fine but as soon as the match loads it happens. ( I wondered if it was only replication)

This is currently haappening to me. When I close out ICUE for my corsair mouse, they work. When the game launched, ICUE was tied to cheating software and they had to fix it. I am wondering what the latest patch did.

Sounds like you're having trouble with your mouse buttons lately and your 4th and 5th side button aren't working at all. That's definitely not a fun situation to be in, but I'm sure we can get down to the bottom of what's going on here.
We have been seeing some other players running into similar issues lately and the proper teams are aware of the issue and working on a fix. In the meantime you can give the below steps a shot.

Test out these fixes in custom games
1) If you have Razer Synapse, Logitech G Hub, or Corsair software on your system please try to update them as this has resolved the issue for other players. If issues persist please uninstall the software and see if that resolves your issue instead.
Go to your Control Panel > Find programs > Click Uninstall or change a program > right-click the program and click uninstall
2) Additionally, you can try the following:
Close VALORANT
Right-click on the VALORANT shortcut on your desktop
Click Properties
Click the Shortcut tab
In Run, select the minimized option
Click on Apply, then on Ok and test the game
3) To make sure that you don't have any background process that are causing this issue, follow this guide to perform a quick clean boot. This will disable third party apps from starting automatically when you start up your computer.
Please make sure to HIDE ALL MICROSOFT PROCESSES when disabling startup programs.
For VALORANT: Find vgc and re-check that service. This is required for VALORANT

For me, whenever I'm in a custom game both mouse buttons work fine. However, when I'm in a regular match, mouse button 4 does not work. There are no razer synapse updates and I don't know what to do. Please help.

I am experiencing the same issue, updating ICUE is not an option for me as my Sabre RGB is not supported in the newest Update.
Tried the shortcut solution but Valorant doesn't let me start unless I use the RIOT Client anymore.

Just started having this issue and was looking for a fix. Does anybody know how to fix it? Using MB5 for my ability worked just yesterday and now it does not work. It works when I'm in the range or in a custom match, and it also works on an alt account. I reinstalled Valorant completely. I use a razer mouse.

blub Hello I was having the same issue with a new M65 Ultra Wireless Mouse from Corsair tried everything suggested above to no avail only thing I found to work is completely quitting out any software controlling my mouse, and using the mouse's hardware settings. So you may have to just close Razer Synapse in task manager while playing

Felinefine im having the same issues with the same mouse. the thumb buttons don't even run. i remember having the same issue back when i had my other mouse (old version of the m65 corsair). When i close my icue it works but once i open it it stops. i uninstalled evreything and installed everything again and nothing works

AlexiaGutierrez Fix for me was scrolling down action keybinds and finding out that i had once binded ghost mode for custom games on mouse buttons and thats why they didnt work anywhere else other than range.

I justo bought a AsusROG strix 4070 with Ryzen 9, and I wanted to test it with Valorant, first everything was ok but after a couple of day when I open valoran the krynoard stios working, mouse is still useful but in order to use the keyboard again I have to restart the laptop.

I have the exact same problem on my Lenovo legion laptop and now even if I restart keyboard doesn't works I have tried resetting my laptop but still it doesn't works and works like a charm in other game it happened after the latest valorant update

If this fox doesn't work there is one more thing you can do once you open valorant let it open in background and open a notepad immediately and keep typing something unti valorant loads fully in background and then open the minimised window you keyboard will work now

How should I start?
2 days ago,I've been configurating my pc with the typicals video of how to make valorant better and that stuff, and i could run valorant, that's in the evening and then at night, idk why,I cannot run valorant
I watched a lot of videos to make valorant run again, the vgc service, uninstall and install the vanguard and more, and valorant doesn't run.
Yesterday one guy of the forum had an issue with valorant and I tried some advice for some replies but nothing changed
The weird thing is i cannot uninstall vanguard and valorant and when I go to the riot games app, then valorant, shows me play with Grey colour and a message that says, valorant I running but is false
If someone can help me, I'll appreciate it a lot
Thanks

I don't have solution, but problems like these seem to be relativel common at times. I have had like 3 times when the game has literally been unplayable due to some problem and I just had to wait for new update. Once I couldn't open it for couple of weeks, contacted support and everything and no one was able to help.

First, start Valorant. Then go to Taskmanager. If you see an application called "BootstrapperPackedGame" with a Valorant icon never endingly running under the Backgroundapps, then congrats you got a fix.

Disabling is the easy way. How to make an exception.
Go to Avast Antivirus Panel. Go to menu. Settings. Exceptions. Go there and make an exception for both the VALORANT file and the RIOT GAMES file. They should be in the C:\Programs\ folder or similiar.
Then go again to Programs and try to find Riot Vanguard and make an exception for it aswell. If my explanation was dogshit then just disable the antivirus that should fix it.

Go to Valorant Folder, Right click Valorant.exe and put "Run as Administrator". Maybe that should help. You can also go and try to put "Run as Admnistrator" in the Valorant Folder --> Shotergame --> Binaries and then on an application with the Valorant Icon aswell (cant remember the name)

I had the same issue. The fix was to just turn off msi afterburner, as that was the program that was causing the game to not even launch.
If you don't have msi afterburner, chances are you have a program running that is conflicting with the game, so you might want to try closing some programs you have
Hope it helps

profile.tmp created on my desktop after open valorant, please help me, i have tried various ways, i have even reinstalled windows but still when i open valorant, the profile.tmp file is created again.

@diluc gaming
I found a way to keep it hidden from your desktop but it won't be deleted. I simply right-clicked the icon and under the general tab there should be two boxes next to "Attributes," read-only and hidden. Just check the "hidden" box and at the bottom hit apply and ok, it should be hidden from your desktop. Hope this solves your issue!

I guess you have tried deleting files in the temp folder? Type %temp% on search windows bar. Select all files and delete them. Some won't let you delete them, just skip those. Also search %localappdata% and delete anything Riot/Valorant related. Other solution would be creating a new account and see if the issue persists. If it doesn't, is a problem with your account, if not, most probably it is with your PC.

Manually download and install the required .NET Core components by visiting the following links: [.NET Core Runtime] ( -us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-desktop-7.0.10-windows-x86-installer) and [.NET Core ASP.NET Runtime] ( -us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-aspnetcore-7.0.10-windows-x86-installer). Once you've successfully installed these components, return to the reWASD installation wizard and click the 'Try again' button.

If you've tried both of the above methods and the issue persists, please feel free to reach out to our [Support Team] ( ). They are ready to assist you further and ensure that you can smoothly complete the reWASD installation.

Check joy.cpl to see how (and if) Windows recognizes your device (this is a native Windows tool that displays all the connected devices). Open Windows search (by pressing Win keyboard button, for example), enter joy.cpl and press Enter.

If you see the controller in joy.cpl, but don't see even the "Request device support" in reWASD, you might have some third-party drivers that are preventing the device from showing up in reWASD (e.g. you had SCPToolkit, DS4Windows or InputMapper installed previously). If you had them installed, please look for the ways to remove the drivers, reboot, and check in reWASD again. Contact support for further investigation.

Looks like the game switches between controller and keyboard/mouse input. We recommend to Mute the controller fully, if you want to use keyboard and mouse bindings, and add them to other controls. If you prefer controller layout, you can remove all the keyboard mappings, and add controller bindings, whether you will use a Virtual controller, or Hardware mapping.

Some antiviruses may cause problems using reWASD (e.g. Symantec Endpoint Protection, PC Matic, Palo Alto Traps). Please check if you have one of them installed, and consider deleting them, or adding reWASD to exceptions.
