Hi all,
Just a quick word about a project Nick asked me to start a wiki for.
You are all now officially annointed as chief creative directors of
the community Japanese toolbar. :)
(see wiki for details)

Click on http://groups.google.com/group/japansoc/web/japansoc-j-web-community-toolbar-project
- or copy & paste it into your browser's address bar if that doesn't
work.

I for one would be happy with only some more customization, make
everything addable and removable and you have the ultimate bar :D

Hi Per-Gunnar,
Thanks for the feedback!
As far as removable goes that is already a possibility.
If you don't find something useful you can hide it by going to the
drop down arrow next to the nipponster logo (far left) and clicking on
"toolbar options." There you can hide things like "gadgets" and the
email notifier, etc.

"Everything addable" is the holy grail and I am looking into that. I'm
sorry that it doesn't have that capability already.

In the meantime (and even after that is added) I would love to
manually add any resources to the toolbar that you think would be
useful. I imagine that by working together to compile a great
centralised list of resources and brainstorming ways that the toolbar
can enhance them everyone will benefit.
And it seems that maybe, on the other hand, if a person just adds
features to his/her own toolbar and doesn't share them with the
community it only benefits one person (and that person doesn't benefit
from the contributions of all the others either).

I'm not sure what the best course is. What do you think?
