So far, an amazing program.Just wanted you to know, I have found an
error with the kanji for "furu". The flash card says it's 10 strokes.
When it goes thru the strokes, it's nine. I compared it to a kanji
dictionary and they have it listed as nine as well. I always get the
flash card wrong when I draw it because it keeps looking for the
imaginary 10th stroke. Thank you for making one of the best Japanese
flash card programs around. Hopefully feed back like this will help
you to continue to make a great program even better.

Hi,

Thank you for your message and your kind comments. Though it is hard
to see from the animation, what looks like the first stroke is in fact
drawn in 2 parts. You will see this radical on the left a lot and
sometimes on the right, but it is always drawn using 3 strokes. I'm
interested to know which dictionary you have that lists this kanji as
9 strokes.

Hope this helps. I'll do a little more research just to confirm, but
at this point I'd have to say it looks correct.

All the best
Ray

Hello again. I did some more research and looked through various
kanji dictionaries I own and it seems some show it as 10 strokes and
others 9. I think this is a case where both are correct, but
obviously one method has to be chosen for the stroke data and it was
the 10-stroke version. If you draw the left radical using 3 strokes
the program should work fine and your kanji writing will still be
legitimate.

Please let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for
bringing this to my attention, it's something I was not aware of but
is very interesting.

Thanks
Ray
