Google used malicious code to track Safari browser users against their
wishes. Google acted in an unethical fashion by running code without
notifying users of Safari browser or allowing them the option to
consent to being tracked. Google's actions are an invasion of privacy
and violates the rights of users.
Excerpts:
"Google intentionally circumvented the default privacy settings of
Apple’s Safari browser, using a backdoor to set cookies on browsers
set to reject them, in the latest privacy debacle for the search and
advertising giant."
"Given that Google announced it is backtracking on its privacy
promises to users in order to create the mother of all online profiles
by combining the data you give it to nearly all of its services, that
secrecy may be more disturbing than the “crime” itself."

Excerpts:
"The lawsuit says that Google’s “willful and knowing actions” violated
federal wiretapping laws and other computer-related laws."
"For those not in the loop as to the current situation, a report
surfaced from Stanford researcher Jonathan Mayer that said Google had
allegedly used an exploit in the Safari browser to track users and
their browsing history."
