I have been asked by my nephew if I could resolder the power
connection on his Toshiba Laptop. I have repaired several over the
years but I cannot see how the keyboard is easily removed.
I can see it seems to click in place.
Thanks in advance.

I decided to have a quick look on Google and found the answer. It did
look difficult but once I removed the loudspeaker cover strip between
the keyboard and the screen I saw 2 small screws which held the
keyboard in place. I was then able to reconnect a ribbon cable to the
external ps/2 connector and 2 USB ports. My nephew had inadvertantly
stretched the cable and it became detached meaning those ports failed
to work after he tried fixing the power connecter. There is also a
web site that shows how to replace the coax power connector as the
fantastic plastic case seems to break leaving a floating connector.
