Does anyone here know where I can find details of how to play Rei's
theme on a piano or synthesiser?
I've done a quick search on altavista but no look there. I think I
remember this question being asked before here but I'm sure it was
Ritsko's theme that was being asked about.

Thanks in advance.

I looked around in a few stores, and the only place I saw all the BGM piano
books was at http://www.animecastle.com, but they don't seem to have them in
stock at the moment, but you could e-mail them about it.

I have the sheets for Rei's theme in .gif format. E-mail me if interested.

also, search on google for "evangelion midi"
this page "http://pachome1.pacific.net.sg/~rckl/music.html" has the file
rei01.mid on it.
I looked inside the file with a MIDI editor and figured out how to play it
that way. It was bugging me a few weeks ago.

I hope this helps as well..

Scripsit ille Antony <ant...@dorito.pr.phub.net.cable.rogers.com>:

It will - I do not know if rei01.mid is the file I know, but the one I
know is well playable (except enharmonic ambiguities like des vs. cis).
But the one I know was a piano-only version... if I find it, I'll reply
again.

You can play it now? The whole thing? I can only play it bar by bar (not
really - some more bars together), but since I cannot play the piano, it
soon happens that the finger is not where the right key is.

But I still cannot name the first seven chords... they're a bit more
complicated than the usual maj, min, maj7, maj7,9\0 (which I know as
Dv)...

BTW: They now have a good version of the Borderline Case! It's very
close to the original if played using timidity with the eawpatches.

Maybe this one is helpful: http://babyevan.tripod.com/frames/midi.htm
I just found three Rei I versions on it, but they are all not the
piano-only version I had.

Thank you both. I've been looking for this myself. While I don't play
keyboard myself I do some composiing using Midi tools. Its a pity midi music
has languished in the post mp3 web.
