why do everyone wear the same clothes all the time? misato always wears her
red jumper, shinji always in his white shirt ... haven't they ever thought
about giving them a wash and wear something else the next day?

This is true of many characters, animated and otherwise. I think its done to
inprove reconition of key people from one episode to the next.
I do recall seeing Misato in at least three other outfits. A dress while
at the bar with Kagi, a full uniform once for work at Nerve, and t-shirt
with shorts to guzzle beer for breakfast.
Auska wears a couple different outfits throughout the series.
Rei, Shingi, Gendo, Retsui, Kagi, and the rest seem to have very small
clothe closets though!

They all wear different clothes on occasion. Misato's might be her uniform
for NERV...Shinji's white shirt is part of his school uniform, he does have
other shirts on sometimes at home. etc etc

Or longues around the house in shorts and a t-shirt. Or goes out with
Kaji in a dress and high heels. Or wears another dress during the Jet
Alone demonstration, as well as the hazmat suit during the same
episode..

>, shinji always in his white shirt ...

School uniform. Kensuke and Kaworu wear the same thing if you'll notice,
although with different color shirts underneath the white one. ;P

Besides, Shinji doesn't seem like the type to change his clothes when he
gets home, since it's not like he goes anywhere often... he is seen
wearing a few different sets of clothes though when relaxing though.

Well, didn't they even say in "The Day Tokyo-3 Stood Still" that the
main NERV operatives barely have time to do their laundry, let alone
sleep at home? ;P

What IS interesting however is the fact that Shinji seems to jump into
EVA-01 without his plugsuit about half the time, something none of the
other pilots do. Kaworu was wearing a dark blue uniform during his sync
tests, and he wasn't even IN the entry plug when he took control of
EVA-02.. I don't remember if Rei or Asuka ever piloted in anything
else..

On a sidenote related to clothes and Rei, does'nt Rei have the worst
appartment ever. Inventory
Bed
Dresser
One school uniform
drawer full of underware
Pair of broken glasses
Stove
Sink (dirty)
Tea kettle
One cracked mug
one towel
Trashcan
Pile of used bandages

Should'nt someone at Nerve or the school care about how this poor girl
lives?!?

If you remember her apartment was set up that way because it is similar in
appearance to the place where she was 'born'.

Seeing as how pilot and Eva are synchronized.... What would happen if the pilot
had an orgasm while piloting?
