I'm still new around here (this is only my 2nd post). I loved End of
Evangelion.I didn't find it that disturbing, though quite a few of my
friends did. The anime I find most disturbing is Gunbuster. I get
laughed at for that, but the idea of returning to Earth 12000 years
after leaving it kinda freaked me out.

I'd say that Akira ranks up there. For the Goth angle try Vampire
Hunter D/Bloodlust2000.
For pure lunacy try Ogenki Clinic. For a combo try Bible Black (uncensored
version!)

The first Vampire Hunter D movie made me cringe at a time or two.
Unnecessary gore and dismemberment ahoy! Angel Sanctuary was rather
disturbing, too, for various reason. The manga is pretty gruesome, but
there is one part in the anime that I just can't watch... Then there's one
anime movie/OVA series that I didn't get through because it was so
sickening... I can't remember the title, but I do remember turning it off
when the tentacle-rape stuff came in. It's just wrong. Berserk and
Hellsing are good for distrubance as well. Hellsing is the best disturbing
anime in my opinion. :)

The bits involving Unit 02s fate really disturbed me, especially the flashy
bits of the mass produced evas holding.. bits of it in their mouths X_X

This seems to be a not uncommon scene, I've seen it in both La Blue Girl
and Wicked City.

ANY tentacle hentai is disturbing but not, I think, quite in the way meant
at the beginning of this post

But she was a cyborg, the blonde one was an android.

I didn't find Eva disturbing, just kind of confusing and frustrating
at first near the end of it all.. Jin-Roh was pretty disturbing I
guess, but one of the best anime movies I've seen.

Just as long as you don't get arrested on arrival by a gorilla, and
then experimented on by chimpanzees, then it ought to be OK :-)

Try Revolutionary Girl Utena: The Movie. It'll really mess you up.
