Serving as a JUCA reviewer, respondent, chair, or wandering scholar for the 109th convention of NCA

Dear JUCA division members,

I hope this finds you all well. I write to invite you to participate in one of the most important ways we continue to participate in our association: service in the annual convention of the National Communication Association. This year will be the 109^th convention held November 16-19, 2023 in National Harbor, DC. We seek reviewers, session chairs, respondents, or wandering scholars. As a member of JUCA, the expertise and insights offered by our members is one of the ways that brings together our members, spurs dialogue and provides valuable contributions to the conference. 

• Reviewer: As a reviewer, you will be asked to provide feedback and recommendations on manuscripts submitted to JUCA at the conference.
• Respondents: Respondents provide feedback to authors who present their work at JUCA sessions at the annual NCA. 
• Session chairs: Session chairs introduce JUCA session presenters; they serve as timekeepers, and help to facilitate Q&A sessions. 
• Wandering scholars: A wandering scholar attends one of the NCA Scholar-to-Scholar poster sessions and delivers informal feedback to presenters. 

The roles for participation are provided in the survey I have attached. Please consider sharing it to other potentially interested individuals.
