Need numbers for Caltech->LAX ride

Hi all,

Please will everybody respond one way or the other ASAP: will you ride with the group from Caltech to LAX? Will you ride back with the group from LAX to Caltech?

I need these numbers pronto to make an arrangement. Then I'll let those who are riding know what it is!

Hi Paul:

I will not ride with the group from Caltech to LAX,

I would like to ride with the group from LAX to Caltech, 

however, since I'm not a US citizen, it may take some additional time (probably about one hour) to go through the custom,

so I think it might be better for the team if I go back to Caltech by myself so that I won't hold the whole team back.

Dear Japan Trip Participants,

I hope this group e-mail still works!

Atsuko wants to send End of the Year (New Year) thank-you cards to 3 of the nonacademic folk who helped us a lot on the Japan Enrichment Excursion (the managers of the hostel in Mei, Collet's friend in Kagoshima, and Atsuko's friend's former student in Yakushima). We would like to get as many of the trip participants to sign them as possible.

I think most of you are now at the AGU in San Francisco, so I will bring the cards with me tomorrow night. If you see me, please grab me and sign the 3 cards. If you are still in Pasadena - not going to AGU, please drop by my office (049 Arms) and sign the cards there between ~ 10:30 and 1:30 pm tomorrow (monday, 12/3).

We will figure out how to mail them after next week - Atsuko and I leave for Japan next Sunday, so if we get enough signatures we can just mail them from Japan next week.
