Sad news about a friend

Dear all,

We've just learned that our Japanese friend Kora, who touched all our lives with his unique generosity, fell ill and died this week. We don't know any more about the cause than that. The funeral was today; Colette and I and the Kirschvinks sent flowers. We thought you'd all like to know, since you had a chance to experience what kind of a person he was. Colette will be sending a package to his family; if you'd like to include a card or anything, let me know.
