Northern Kyushu is suffering from torrential rains, flooding and landslides ...
The Aso area in particular has had dozens if not hundreds of landslides -- this is a good lesson in why calderas don't last very long as geomorphologically distinct features in areas with heavy precipitation...
We'll watch this story develop over the next month and see whether it is going to affect our plans at all.
