Dear All:

I attached a schedule and list of attendee.  The schedule is flexible and change anytime.

The highlights of this trips are:
(1) Seismology lab tour on 17th.  while doing paper works to finalize travel grants for you.
(2) Post-dinner lecture by Prof. Imamura, who is an expertise of Tsunami research on 18th.
(3) Demonstration of sampling (by simple corer) of past tsunami sediments (869 Jogan earthquake) by Dr. Sugawara on 18th.
(4) Trip to Tsunami disaster area (Sanriku) on 19th.

I am wishing good weather but we can do all planned items in rain.  We will prepare a simple field guid book ( a few pages with maps).

My travel agency said that 17th to 19th is a sort of  busy weekend for travelers.  Indeed Iwamatsu Ryokan (the place we stay on 17th and 18th) is fully booked.  If you consider to take reserved seats of Shinkan-sen, I suggest to make reservations on 16th (or earlier).
Please make a phone call when you arrive or when you know which Shinkan-sen you take.  My cell phone number is 090-6456-4689 (or office phone number is 022-795-6660).  There is not enough car parking space in front of Sendai station to pick up people.  So  a charter bus and I will be waiting at Tohoku University, and go to the station about 10 minutes before your arriving time.  Please wait on the 1st floor (outside), in front of taxi stop (easy to find).  I will find and bring you to the bus.

I will be out of town and do not check e-mail often until 15th, but please leave message if you have some requests.

I am looking forward to seeing you next week.

Cheers!
