to January 2011 Clean Eating Challenge
I can't believe it is coming to an end. I remember on day 2 or 3 I
felt like I had been eating paleo for weeks and thought it would never
end.
There are a few aspects that have been very positive of this 30 day
challenge. The first is that my water consumption has increased
dramatically. I am going to try to continue this habit but we will
see how it goes after I have a beloved diet coke. Like I said in a
previous post I used to drink only diet coke, crystal light and the
occasional beer and wine; however I do think that drinking water has
helped me feel so called "cleaner" and I hope to continue to make this
a part of my daily lifestyle.
Secondly, this challenge has taught me to actually cook and be
creative. I hardly knew how to cook before this challenge and was
stuck in a rut of eating the same exact things day after day (I am
very much a creature of habit). I have now had to learn how to cook
an actual meal for dinner (instead of just a light snack) and try to
make extras so that I would have lunch for the following day. These
new cooking habits will come in handy so that I do not starve my
future husband after we get married in May.
Unfortunately, I still do not feel like I have seen much change if any
in my body after the 30 days...so ultimately that is pretty
frustrating. If I keep thinking about that I just get bummed so I
need to look at the positive aspects of the challenge instead.
Bye Bye Paleo, hello honey mustard and sushi!
