TIL that in 1993 Dr. Demento did a promo show for a weird al album and played Blue Corpse on it

Found this on Jandek's discogs page, it's a CD transcription of a Dr. Demento show from Nov. 20, 1993 where, in the middle of playing a bunch of cuts from Alapalooza (1993), he randomly does a needle drop onto Jandek's cover of House of the Rising Sun.

Given the amount of sequential cuts from Alapalooza -- which, as a bit of industry gossip, was apparently Weird Al's worst selling album, oops -- I can only assume this was a promo show for it, despite the show airing almost 2 months after the release date. Guess they needed to move some copies. Other cuts of note here include a section of Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music (!!) and a Capitol Steps song about killing Barney the Dinosaur.
I don't think that Jandek enjoys being grouped in with the "outsider music" scene, but this begs the question, what do you think the over/under is that Weird Al knows who Jandek is? When are we gonna get the Weird Al Jandek pastiche?
