Happy new year, friends!
We are super excited to kick off 2011 with An Evening of Music from the Mediterranean featuring Janam and the fabulous Teslim  - Traditional and Original Modal Music by string virtuosi Kaila Flexer and our own Gari Hegedus - at The Dance Palace in Pt. Reyes Station.

This promises to be a really fun evening beginning with a dance lesson by Carol Friedman, followed by a concert set with Teslim and dancing with Janam. Plus, we'll be playing some first-ever, very special Janam/Teslim collaborative pieces. So, just make a day of it in stunning Pt. Reyes - pack your hiking boots and your dancing shoes and we'll see you there!

In other news, Janam will participate, with a number of other great groups, in a wonderful benefit concert for the SF food bank on Jan 30. And please tell your Southern and Central CA friends that we're heading down the coast next month - Feb 5 at UC Santa Barbara and Feb 6 in San Luis Obispo. Please help us spread the word so we get a nice crowd at these shows. Thank you for your support!
