Hi,
I have been following the various activities of the Mancha through the mails and want to congratulate the group on moving fast. I have one suggestion regarding implementation -
Creating awareness against political violence is fine but at the same time for restoration of law and order, its essential that the state administration - here the police - which is responsible for maintaining law and order swings into action. Right now people have no confidence in the police. When there is political murder, violence, arson, why doesn't the police act - register case, investigate, arrest? I don't think one person has been arrested or if arrested, it has been reported. Its essential that the Mancha promotes action by pushing the administration to act swiftly in case of political violence to ensure success in ending violence. Any action against those perpetrating political violence should also find publicity through the media to act as a deterrent. As the saying goes, it basically comes down to 'Spare the rod and spoil the child'.
Merely speeches against political violence will not achieve anything.
