Euro Truck Simulator 2ProductsTrucksRenault Trucks (formerly Renault V.I.) is a French commercial truck and military vehicle manufacturer with corporate headquarters at Saint-Priest near Lyon, France. It is one of the seven brands of trucks available in this game. Originally part of Renault, it has been owned by the Volvo Group.

There are three series of transport built by Renault, the Magnum, the Premium, and the T. The T was added to the game in the update 1.35, while the electrified version of it was added to the game in the update 1.50 as a part of Quick-jobs (due to the lack of the charging infrastructure in the game). They feature very large windshields, good brakes, decent steering, powerful stock engines, and a low price tag. This would make it a good starter vehicle if a driver has intentions to hand it off to an employee in the future, especially considering that the maximum engine power of both lines are among the lowest in the game.

As of update 1.49, the Magnum and the Premium can only be bought as a used truck in the used truck dealership and the E-Tech T can only be used in the Quick Jobs (due to the lack of the charging infrastructure in the game). The table here shows the 3 different preconfigured customizable models available at Renault truck dealers in ETS2.

Drive the 1100 hp Renault Premiun DXi13 against 15 opponents endowed with an awesome artificial intelligence. Accessible to all with ultra realistic driving, *TRUCK RACING by Renault Trucks* asserts itself as the most exciting truck racing game ever made.

Advergame for Renault trucks that presents its object as a truck racing game. The player can choose between 2009 and 2010 models of Renault racing trucks and also between several paintjobs. He can partake in a race with customizable settings or just drive for training on one of four available racetracks.

any one remember the marlboro bedford tm in the back of this pic

ive been told thats steve parish and a mitchell cotts merc

i know nothing about the renault, any info on it anyone

Very Good memories. First race in the Uk was in 1984 at Donington Park. The roads and motorways were at a stand still with traffic trying to get there and east midlands airport had to be closed as emergency vehicles could not get through.
Truck racing is getting better and more interesting, as you say that the manufacturer has gone. The BTRA championship in the UK has more action than in Europe as everyone works on small budgets.

I also remember when truck racing was done with trucks, who, upon finishing the days meeting, would then hitch up to the loaded trailer in the paddock, and then disappear off down the road to deliver the following day.

i was there the mutipart truck grand prix as it said on the mugs i bought.barry sheene drove a daf and im sure kurt gorrenson took part there was also show trucks in the hall by the dunlop bridge.great day alas no more races at donnington.

I woz there. Spent most of the day at the bottom of the Craner Curves nr the Old hairpin until a truck went off & bounced across the gravel trap & hit the concrete wall & damaged it just to my right . I believe it was a truck from Scotland.
I did also follow truck racing to Brands Hatch & Silverstone. Barry Sheene, Steve Parrish & I think Richard Walker where some of the names. Also I cant remember his name but I think he was a Dutchman that made headlines in one of the trucking magazines for being charged caravan tax on his sleeper pod. One meeting I went to at Brands Eddie the Eagle was a guest of I the T45.

the truck was a daf 2800 we stood no chance as it was a280hp they put it in the 300hp to 450hp races we came last gearbox trouble the teams name was A C M racing the motor was bought from a firm in swindon by the name of J W Q

Believe it or not racing has been a Donnington for a few years. Having our last race there in Nov 2003. The circuit was updated to keep the bikes there and the trucks have had to stop racing as they say we damage the edges of the track. No other circuits complain.

It's official: we are now mass-producing the Renault Trucks E-Tech T & C at our Bourg-en-Bresse plant. To meet the multiple requirements of regional transport and urban construction activities, Renault Trucks E-Tech T & C can be ordered with two or three electric motors developing a combined power of up to 490 kW.

A wide choice of traction batteries is available, as Renault Trucks E-Tech T and C can be fitted with four to six lithium-ion battery packs offering between 360 and 540 kWh of power. The batteries can be fully recharged by alternating current (AC) up to 43 kW, or direct current (DC) up to 250 kW. These trucks can travel up to 300 km on a single charge and up to 500 km with an intermediate fast charge (250 kW) lasting one hour.

o Preparation of the chassis
o Assembly of the axles, drive shaft, etc.
o Assembling the powertrain (for diesel vehicles)

o Electrification of the truck for Renault Trucks E-Tech T & C

Number 14 is one of the nine special and identical Racing Edition demo tractors of the Dutch Renault Trucks organization. Fully optioned, naturally, and with the most powerful engine. The color scheme comes with the package.

Both axles have air suspension (with remote control). Some other features: xenon headlights, dual diesel fuel tanks (total capacity 1,055 liter) and a 12-speed Optidriver automated transmission. The Racing Editions are powered by a 12.8 liter inline-six, good for 520 DIN-hp.

That looks like a fun truck to drive sign me up, only 520hp but in one make racing that doesnt matter its all about late or no braking and corner speed keeping the engine at peak torque, 4.25m seems to be the international max height .Are these speed limited to 100mph/160kmh like local race trucks

Launched in 2010, the Premium Truck Racing representing the MKR-Technology Renault Trucks team has had a big success. Following the different wins at the 2012 European truck racing championships, the make decided to launch a new tractor unit inspired by the Premium Long Distance : the Premium Truck Racing 2013.

The 2013 Premium Truck Racing is fitted with DXi 460hp and a Optidriver+ robotized gearbox. It is far from the 1001hp of the MKR Technology Renault Trucks team tractor units but the performances of this truck in terms of fuel consumption will make the difference. The 2013 Premium Truck Racing is available as a 4x2 tractor throughout Europe and as a 6x2 tractor unit for the UK market.

Maximum race speed is restricted to 160 km/h (100 mph) for safety reasons, and a minimum weight limit is 5500 kg. Races start from a rolling start, and commonly races last from 8 to 12 laps. Although a non contact sport, due to the physical size, and closeness of trucks to one another during races, minor collisions can often occur. However, injuries to drivers are very rare.

As a sanctioned sport it began as ATRA (American Truck Racing Association) in 1979 then was sold to N. Linn Henndershott in 1982 and it became the Great American Truck Racing circuit. The races were run on dirt and paved ovals mostly in the Eastern United States. The trucks used in the beginning were working trucks with tandem rear axles, using street tires, and yet speeds of 150 mph (241 km/h) were still attained on the front straight at Pocono Raceway, and the closed course record of 132 mph (212 km/h) was set in qualifying at Texas World Speedway by Charlie Baker on March 21, 1982.

After 1986 when the series was bought by Glenn Donnelly of DIRT (Drivers Independent Race Tracks) the GATR trucks became highly modified with the bodies being cut and lowered, losing the tag axle and shedding more than 2,000 pounds in weight. The last sanctioned GATR race in the US was in July 1993 at Rolling Wheels NY.

The Bandit Big Rig Series debuted in the United States in 2017, giving America its first truck race series since GATR in 1993. The Minimizer Bandit Big Rig Series had 13 races in his first (2017) season, with historic tracks Hickory Motor Speedway and Greenville-Pickens Speedway included on the schedule.

Mexico also started its own truck racing version called Tractocamiones, which ran from 1992 to 2000 and was revived in 2015 as Campeonato Tractocamiones Freightliner. Notable international drivers that have raced in the series include former Champ Car race winner Michel Jourdain Jr., former F1 driver Allen Berg, Indy 500 Rookie of the year Bernard Jourdain, the late Carlos Pardo, Rubn Pardo, Jorge Goeters, Carlos Contreras, Abraham Caldern and Jimmy Morales among others.[1]
