About the Fest

We humans tend to bottle our thoughts and opinions. As we grow up, these thoughts gain clarity and demand expression.  Vrittanta is celebrations, where we flash our ideas under the spotlight, share our perception. We will be glad to listen to your story.  The Internet is an enticing place, luring us in with a little entertainment and holding us captive, addicted and sleep deprived. Our idea of a weekend is switching between Netflix and Amazon prime, till you're left with nothing new to obsess over.  The theme 'Mayajaal' - ' swirl in series ' for Vrittanta 2020 explores this very same culture in new media, giving you the opportunity to present your view of this change.  The word mayajaal finds its origin in Hindi, roughly translating to Illusion. The evolution in Indian and International web series has been going in swirls for the past decade. There are milestones of some extremely controversial and questionable as well as some whole heartedly embraced content. At the same time, it has created an illusion of adventure and excitement around our mundane lives which is far from reality.

Nonetheless, these stories are what define entertainment world today. In Vrittanta 2020, we attempt to give a platform to your ideas of this engulfing culture and show the world, 'Aham Bramhasmi'.

We request your participation in our fest.
