I wanted to make all of you in our network of educators aware of an upcoming excellent opportunity for professional development. There is a new professional organization specifically for elementary teachers, it is the New York State Elementary Classroom Teachers Association (NYSECTA).
On Friday, March 21, 2014 at Herkimer County Community College they will be hosting a day-long Spring Seminar with program topics to include: Mathematics, ELA, Common Core, APPR, Social Emotional Learning, Science, Cyber Safety and Technology, and Agriculture and Food in the Classroom.
New York Agriculture in the Classroom participated in their inaugural conference in August as a presenter, and will be participating in this excellent conference again this year.
