Thank you for sending this notice.  Unfortunately, it took me a while to find the obituary because I have been sick myself, but here it is.
 
 

Donald G. Hacking

Donald Gunnar Hacking, 83, a resident of Rio Verde golf community, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2010 at Mayo Clinic Hospital.

Born on Jan. 21, 1927, in Spring Canyon, Utah, Don was the oldest of four children of Donald and Amelia (Jorgenson) Hacking.

Don graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Upon honorable discharge Don entered the University of Utah where he graduated in 1952.

On May 4, 1957, Don married Geraldine (Jerre) Hacking in Pueblo, Colo. He graduated from the University of Colorado Law School (Boulder) in 1965 and subsequently was employed with Fleming & Pattridge in Golden, Colo. where he was an attorney until he and Jerre retired to Rio Verde in 1992.

Don is survived by his wife, Jerre; a sister, Janice Howard of St. George, Utah; his children, Loyce Hacking (Rich) Bares of Birmingham, Ala., Donald Thompson Hacking and Nan Elizabeth Hacking, both of Denver, Colo.; two grandchildren, Chelsea Loyce Bares and Chandler Hacking Bares both of Birmingham, Ala.

A memorial service was held Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at Rio Verde Community Church, with the Rev. Lloyd Powers officiating. Interment will be at the Rio Verde Memorial Garden in Rio Verde.

Dear Eileen,

I just learned indirectly from Sonny Stafford (Donald's brother in-law) that Donald Hacking has passed away.  He died of pneumonia.  I don't have the exact date or other details, but thought you should know.
