Thought I would bring you in on a conversation I am having with the
spouse of a descendant of James Hacking and Annie M. Glines Hacking.
I am hoping you will share your research and correct and extend this
part of the KEH FT:

Just from glancing through the family tree it doesn't look like I have
anything more to add. I don't add living information of other people
unless I have their permission. Anyway, I did notice that the tree
has William Glines born 1857 listed as his own father. This Glines
line is the one that has caused a lot of confusion as there seems to
be some disagreement on whom belongs to whom. I was in contact with a
lady a few years ago but have lost her email and didn't pay enough
attention when she sent me the correct information. I wish I had paid
more attention then. I will check out New familysearch and see what
is listed there and if there are any disputes yet. Sincerely, Carrie
Taylor

Thank you for the heads up. You will notice some funky formatting with
the dates and place names. This means that the information was pulled
over from OWT using the old method and the information has not been
varified yet. Ancestry has changed the way that feature works and it
is now easier to edit and varify information. However, I have not
gotten to a lot of the collateral relatives yet so it is very helpful
when someone points out errors to me.

I have been taking a look at the problem in the tree, and I need more
information to fix it so I am going to add this to the discussion on
our google group and see if the direct descendants have more
documentation to help us correct the problem. I notice that New
Family Search has three sets of parents for James Pearson Glines: Job
Glines and Mary Dearborn (disputed by many), William Glines and
Elizabeth Williams, and the same William Glines and Ruth Jane Brown
(dipute: According to family records and published sources, Ruth Jane
Brown is William Glines (b. 1757) daughter-in-law, married to James
Pearson Glines.) As far as who is William's father--many are listed,
but all disputed. I removed all of those listed on the tree beyond
William, including wife Mary Dearborn, and will allow others who know
more to add the correct information. I also added the death and burial
data Sonia Glines submitted to New Family Search for William.
