Hey guys! Ihaven't got new info on Spike but I jst want to shout out
that I'm one of those Spike fans among a billion others? Is it true
that there really is gonna be a Spike Movie or was someone just
bluffing?

The bottom line? No there is no Spike movie in our future.

The story behind it, at least as far as I'm aware, is that there are
plans for one. Some of the cast and crew have put in their two cents
about it and say they're in. There's even a writer who says he's
willing. Heck, even one of the networks spoke out about it and said
they'd take it anytime.

Unfortunately, that leaves the decision up to Joss and he's not shown
us any sign one way or another. The rumors have been around for so
long now though that most have given up any hope of it ever happening.

More on the Spike movie thing, I just looked back to a message I posted
in September of 2005 on this very subject. There was a Whedon comment
on this afterall. Here's the relevant snippet from that post:

There's been a quote by Joss Whedon himself on TV Guide as I understand
it. Cinematical mentioned that there's been movement on the art side,
but nothing on the business side. They say, "Basically, it's just an
idea that's percolating, like about a billion others in the movie
world. As Whedon himself put it, "At this point it's still me and my
buddies going, 'Wouldn't it be cool?'" So, yeah. Right now, it's a pipe
dream for all of us."
