I’m writing to introduce OA Player, a modern audio player built with a deep appreciation for classic listening experiences and high-fidelity sound. We are reaching out to formally share our plans to integrate Jamendo’s catalog into OA Player using your official API.

OA Player is a cross-platform audio application designed to bring together local Hi-Fi playback, live web radio, and independent music discovery. We believe Jamendo’s mission to empower independent artists and promote royalty-free music aligns perfectly with our vision. By integrating your API, we aim to give our users seamless, direct access to millions of tracks while ensuring proper artist attribution and driving listeners back to your platform.

We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to obtain an official API key, receive any specific guidelines for third-party players, and learn if there are partnership or developer programs we could join. Please let us know the next steps or if you need additional details about OA Player’s architecture, distribution, or user base.
Thank you for building such a vital platform for independent creators. We look forward to your guidance and hope to help bring Jamendo’s music to a broader, multi-platform audience.
Sincerely,
[Danubio]

Hi Danubio,

I just downloaded and played with OA Player. I think that could easily be my favorite new player with a few changes. Since this is the Jamendo Dev group, I'll start there.

It looks like the Jamendo search results do not return good results for most searches that I've tried. I've tried searching for an artist (ARTSomerville, with 70 some albums, no results), album name (Music for Volcanoes, no results), Song title and album name (Days Grow Long, no results). Also, could the list of Genres possibly include more selections, or is that it?

One feature that I would like to see added is a way of increasing font size. On my screen all of the fonts are quite small. Everything else works so nicely that I will continue to use it for now. I think that the sound is quite good, especially for web radio. Some other players I've used are less than adequate. OA Player is also an easy player to figure out.

Cheers,
