Again, I never made it to the Jamboree site but when my gear came home there was a ziplock bag with what appears to be 6 OA patch sets (Flap and Pocket Patch) 3 in Gold and White and 3 in Red and Color which I am holding.

Mike – Randall is not going to the Jamboree. He will hand off the patches to our Contingent leaders in Mt. Vernon, VA on Sunday. We will ask Brad Johnston, our lead logistics assistant Scoutmaster, to oversee distribution and money collection. Then we can settle up with the lodge after July 24.

Randall had a friend who works near to me pick up the patches just a few minutes ago. I have him 300 red ($4 apiece) and 75 white ($7 apiece). It is a full Xerox paper box. Randall plans to check them as baggage and will work a deal with Scott to either get reimbursed by the lodge or in patches <g>!
Scott-Randall will be trying to link up with you fairly quickly at Jamboree, so can you please give him your contact information? He's certainly not going to want to slug this heavy box around the Summit very much, that's for sure.

They are OA Jamboree sets and the same price as the contingent/staff pre-ordered them ($4 full color, $7 ghost). I put all the patches into one box last night and it was pretty heavy to slug around the airports and Jamboree site. Let me box up the 300 and drop it by the Scout Office today, if that is OK? YIS. Are they getting a special deal? If the price is above about $5 a set, I don't see many Scouts buying them for trading.

Of our 260 contingent perhaps 50% are OA members and each purchasing 2 set each seems about the max. I’m encouraging Randall to work with Mike to reduce the size of the shipment.
