20.The Star Nosed Mole
A resident of the North America, this mole makes up for his poor eyesight with a hairless nose that is a "star" of 22 fleshy tentacles. The tentacles are extremely sensitive, they can even sense electricity!
19.The Naked Mole Rat
The naked mole rat could be the ugliest animal in the world. Good thing they spend most of their lives underground. These guys can hardly see and use their giant teeth and jaws to dig extensive holes in the ground. They live in colonies like bees and have one queen who is responsible for all the reproduction.

This little guy looks more like a cartoon character than a fish. The Blob fish has very few muscles and move very slowly, floating like a jelly fish. To eat, the Blob fish waits on the bottom of the ocean for prey to pass by.

Sloths move very very slowly and only when absolutely necessary. Their fur is a jungle in and of itself; Sloth fur plays host to two different kinds of moss. The moss gives the sloth an ugly coat but provides camouflage.

Archie, a Chinese Crested dog, sits with his tongue out before the start of the 20th Annual Ugliest Dog Competition. Chinese Crested dogs swept the ugliest dog competition from 2002-2008.

This crazy crustacean gets its name from the abominable snowman for its hairy arms. You don't have to worry about running into this crab though: they are found around 8,000 feet deep in the Pacific ocean,
14.The Aye-Aye
The Aye-Aye is currently an endangered species partially due to the fact many in its native Madagascar view the animal as an evil omen and kill them on the spot.
13.The Red-lipped Batfish
The lipstick won't help. This ugly fish has quite a pout. They are terrible swimmers and use their pectoral fins to "walk" on the ocean floor.
12.Almiqui
The Almiqui may have a cute name, but this thing is not fun to run into. It is one of the only mammals in the world with venomous saliva.
11.The Hag fish
The name suits this ugly fish. The hagfish has 4 hearts and 2 brains. Grosser still, the fish produces a large amount of slime when held or captured. The hag fish can produce 20 liters of slime in a matter of minutes
10.The Coconut Crab
These crabs are huge! They are the largest land-living arthropod (animal with its skeleton on the outside) in the world. The crabs can climb trees and are sometimes called "robber crabs" because they have a penchant for stealing shiny objects like pots and pans.

Alligator gar is the largest freshwater fish in North America and can be as long as 8 to 10 feet. These enormous fish can survive outside the water for 2 hours.

7.The Sphinx Cat
The Sphinx cat may look hideous but these guys are known to have great personalities and are extremely affectionate with their human owners.
6.The Proboscis Monkey
This endangered monkey's most unique feature is its protruding nose. The monkeys will honk to communicate with one another, the nose straightens out during each honk.

They may be fancy pure breed dogs, but the Komondor needs a comb. The dogs were originally used as sheepdogs and their cord like fur creates a kind of armor against wolf or bear attacks.

Warthogs get their name from four large wart-like protrusions found on their heads. Despite their appearance, Warthogs are excellent jumpers and fast runners.

The tarantula is one of the most common species of spiders and are found all over the globe. These creatures may look intimidating but no tarantula is known to have a bite that is deadly to humans.

The Mata Mata turtle uses its ugly appearance to protect itself from prey. It's shell and head look like tree bark and it remains motionless when in water.
